Can I place a deposit?

All deposits are non refundable and a minimum of 25% of your total purchase price is required to hold an animal for a pre arranged period of time. If the terms of the payment plan are not met, the animal will be resold to replenish the costs of caring for the animal whilst reserved.

Do you offer payment plans?

We certainly do! Payment plans are secured via a 25% non refundable deposit. The duration of the payment plan is dependent on the total cost of the purchase. Your purchased goods will not be released to you until the entire payment has been made. Payment plans and deposits can be secured in store or via bank transfer. How do I order livestock?

We always keep an up to date animal stocklist on our website and Facebook page, the list contains all important information about our animals, including available sexes, quantities and price! Animals can be purchased in store, over the phone or via our Facebook page. We can take payments in store or via bank transfer. We offer a nationwide courier service, please speak to a member for a quote or contact the Ridgeway Courier Facebook page for 3rd party collections.

How does your courier work?

If you have purchased an animal from us, it will stay in the comfort of its enclosure up until the day it leaves! We like to minimise stress to our animals so plan deliveries based on location to ensure your animal has minimal time on the road. Once the animal is purchased, we will take your details and book on to the next available monthly run. Should your animal be on a payment plan, it will be booked on to the next available run once the final payment is made. You will receive a date and time slot, normally at the end of the month prior to the start of your run. The animal will travel in a species specific temperature controlled area to ensure they arrive to you all toasty and warm!

Do you sell frozen food online?

Yes. Our frozen food is known all over the country for its impeccable quality and variety. It is available both in store and online! For all frozen food purchases, please head over to our Ridgeway Frozen website! You’ll find not only one of UK largest stocks of frozen foods, but also many brand name favourites, such as Habistat, Arcadia and Herp Xotics.

Do you sell snake racks and plastic enclosures?

Yes. We often have a limited amount available in store, please contact a member of staff to find out about store stock levels. For more availability, pricing, as well as ordering and to talk about bespoke products we suggest contacting HerpXotics on Facebook. They are experts in their field and will be able to advise you on which products will suit your needs!
Their range includes the UK’s favourite snake racking systems, plastic vivaria, plastic RUB dividers and show display units.

Can you order an animal for me?

If you are after a species or animal that we do not currently have in stock, we will try our utmost to source it for you. Unfortunately we can only advise you on stock due and it likely availability in the future should it not be in stock. We do not keep a list of customer requests, but we will bare in mind these requests when we are looking for or being offered animals for sale. So its best to keep one eye on our Facebook page and Livestock list. We pride ourselves on top quality animals from reliable sources and we won’t buy just any animal because the demand is high!​

What do I need to purchase an animal?

If you are buying a full set up and animal from us, we require basic knowledge of the animal’s care before you leave. If you are not overly familiar with the species you are purchasing then we will help you fully understand its husbandry needs. If you are not purchasing a set up, we will need pictures of the set up with information of its running temperatures. We will ask you questions about your set-up. Please be prepared, we can refuse sale. Our priority is the long term care of the animals we sell. Please don’t be offended if we ask you to gather more information before taking an animal out of the store.

Do you post animals?

We offer our own specialist courier service for Reptiles and Amphibians but can post invertebrates via DPD next day. Posting animals is dependent on your location and weather permitted, we will always check the weather forecast prior to posting to ensure the animals can safely travel in ideal temperatures. Do you do local delivery?

We can offer delivery within our shops local area, however this is dependent on staff availability and order value. Pricing for delivery will be bespoke to your request. For more information, please talk to a member of staff!
