Royal Python (Python regius)

An excellent beginner species, royal pythons are often docile and would often rather hide or escape than have confrontation! This is where they get their name ‘Ball python’ from as they will curl up into a ball to evade predation! One of the most popular species of reptile currently in the trade, Royal pythons are commonly bred for their aesthetics and vast array of colour morphs.
